Okay, this is a short post because I haven't really gone full force into embroidery yet. I started making an embroidered page on tulle over the break because I wanted to add something that was still soft and light, but dimensionally and materially different to the work. I actually don't practice embroidery, but I did want to give it a try with what I already had lying around - some tulle and silk thread from my local op shop, and an embroidery frame.
Here is how I'm travelling so far. The feathers are part of another collection I started during lockdown. I have bags and bags of found bird feathers that are, yet again, part of a future project!
